It’s the step where sharp edges disappear, surface roughness drops, and corrosion resistance is defined. Material is removed evenly, without mechanical stress, which makes the process ideal for fine structures and sensitive geometries where every micron matters.

What makes it demanding is the material. Stainless steel, CoCr, and Nitinol all react differently, and there is no universal recipe. The result depends on knowing how each alloy responds and controlling the process accordingly.
