Building on MeKo’s decades of manufacturing and material expertise, MedLab provides a growing portfolio of testing services for vascular implants, delivery systems, and catheter technologies. Current capabilities include hardness testing, radial force measurement, dimensional verification, fatigue testing, and balloon-related performance tests according to established international standards.

And the portfolio continues to expand: A new Track Tester will soon enable detailed evaluation of guidewires and catheters in a body-temperature water bath. Engineers can analyze bending behavior, pushability, torsional strength, guideability, and forces acting on simulated vessel walls under realistic conditions.

Another important milestone is already underway. At the end of 2025, MedLab applied for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for selected testing methods, including hardness, radial force, burst and leakage testing, and dimensional verification. This accreditation will further strengthen traceability and regulatory confidence for customers preparing submissions.

For development teams, this means reliable data, shorter feedback loops, and stronger support on the path from concept to clinical reality.
