Heart Valve Frames

Meko

This month, we zoom in on the heart valve frame: the engineered backbone behind minimally invasive transcatheter valve therapies.

Picture a Nitinol or cobalt chromium scaffold, crimped down to a whisper-thin profile for catheter delivery, then deployed inside a beating heart, expanding right where it needs to. That’s the frame behind TAVI, TMVI, TMTT and it plays a bigger role than most think.

What looks delicate is actually built to last. The geometry needs to stay flexible enough for delivery but strong enough to resist fatigue over millions of cycles. It has to expand reliably, hold its shape, and connect cleanly with sealing skirts or leaflet systems — all while minimizing paravalvular leakage year in, year out.

At MeKo, we manufacture these frames with tight tolerances and a clear focus on what matters in the final device. Laser-cutting, shape-setting, electropolishing and quality control. Every step is tuned for mechanical reliability, clean surfaces and consistent performance.

These frames form the heart of the device, quietly setting the rhythm for everything that follows.
