Sieves
& Filters From
Sheets to Assembly
High-precision
filters with hole diameters below 100 µm / 0.004’’ require
more than just drilling – especially when delivered as
ready-to-install assemblies.
At
MeKo, sieves are laser-cut (with X-Y movement), while
filters are drilled using stationary single-pulse
perforation. This allows us to achieve hole diameters
starting at 60 µm / 0.002’’ in sheets up to 0.5 mm / 0.02’’
thick, a ratio that requires excellent process stability.
Precision, repeatability and minimal thermal load are key.
This is where we excel, even for complex assemblies with
flanges, frames or sealing systems.

Laser
Drilling Precision
in Series
How
do we drill hundreds of thousands of holes into one
single stainless steel plate? With one laser pulse per hole
– and a lot of know-how.
In
the single-pulse drilling process, material is
vaporized by a short but powerful energy input. A wide range
of parameters such as focal position, pulse duration, gas
pressure and nozzle gap determine the quality of this
complex method.
Every
job starts with a careful setup: test drilling, parameter
adjustment, documentation. That’s how we ensure every filter
plate meets its exact specification.
