Basis

This privacy statement is designed to inform users of this website about the means, extent and purpose of collecting and using personal data by the website operator MeKo Laser Material Processing (registered sole trader).

We take the protection of your data seriously and treat your personal data with confidentiality and in accordance with legal provisions. As this privacy statement may be amended as a result of new technologies or the constant further development of this website, we recommend that you re-read this privacy statement at regular intervals.

Definitions of the terminology used (e.g. “personal data” or “processing”) can be found in article 4 of the GDPR.

Access data

Due to our legitimate interests (see article 6, paragraph 1, lit. f of the GDPR), we collect data about access to our website and store this data as “server-logfiles” on the website’s server. The following data is recorded:

  • Webpages visited
  • Time of access
  • Quantity of data sent in bytes
  • The source of access (certificate of origin)
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP-address used

The server-logfiles are stored for a maximum of 7 days and are eventually deleted. Data is stored for security reasons, e.g. in order to clarify instances of abuse. If data is collected as evidence, it is exempt from erasure for as long as is necessary to resolve the case.

Reach measurement & cookies

This website uses cookies to conduct pseudonymised reach measurement and these are transferred either from our server or from third party servers to the user’s browser. Cookies are small data files, which are stored on your end device. Your browser accesses these data files. User friendliness and security is improved by using cookies.

Conventional browsers allow cookies to be disabled by adjusting the settings. Note: If you adjust these settings, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to use all the features on this website without restriction.

Collecting and processing personal data

The website operator only collects, uses and passes on your personal data if it is legally permitted to do so or if you consent to data collection.

Personal data includes all information, which can identify you or be traced back to you. For example, your name, email address and telephone number.

We only store or process personal data such as your name and email address from the contact form in order to contact you and process your requests. We only process personal data with express consent of the affected user and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

You can also visit this website without providing personal details. To improve our online service, we do however store data about how you access the website (without personal details). This access data includes, for example, the files you have requested or the name of your internet provider. By anonymising data, it is not possible to ascertain your identity.

Google Analytics

Due to our legitimate interests in the optimisation and analysis of our online service, in accordance with article 6, paragraph 1, lit. f of the GDPR, this website uses the service “Google Analytics”, provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). This service (Google Analytics) uses “cookies” - text files, which are stored on your end device. The information gathered by the cookies is generally sent to a Google-server in the USA and stored there.

According to Google LLC, Google complies with the European data protection regulations and is certified by the Privacy Shield Agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

This website uses IP-anonymisation. The user’s IP address is shortened within EU and EEA member states, as well as in other states that are party to the agreement. Only in certain cases may an IP address be transferred to the USA in full and shortened in a Google server there. By shortening your IP address, it is no longer possible to identify you personally. The user IP address provided by your browser is not combined with any other data stored by Google.

In the context of the order-related data processing agreement that we, as a website operator, have signed with Google Inc., website use and activity is analysed using the information gathered. Google also provides services in connection with internet use. The data collected by Google on our behalf is used to analyse the use of our online services by individual users, e.g. by producing reports about website activity so that we can improve our range of online services.

You can prevent the storage of cookies on your device by adjusting the relevant settings in your browser. If you do not allow cookies, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to use all features on this website without restriction.
