Working at MeKo | Huu Chánh Trinh

Our colleague Huu Chánh Trinh is most at home when he is experimenting, whether it is tweaking a process in the Magnesium foundry or testing how a new material behaves under pressure.
“I always wanted to apply what I learned in my studies and do something meaningful. MedTech wasn’t a clear-cut choice at first, but after getting to know MeKo during the application process, I could tell this was a place where I could make a difference.
There is no typical workday for me. Each day brings something new, and that’s exactly what makes it so interesting. I usually start by checking in with colleagues, going through emails, and planning the day, the week, or even the months ahead. I also think about how to support my team and schedule our production staff accordingly.
I jump between my desk, the lab and the foundry, balancing meetings, research production and quality management. What I really value is the freedom I have in materials research. I get to follow my own ideas alongside the daily work. That’s a privilege, but it also takes responsibility and resilience. Research isn’t always linear. Sometimes you hit setbacks or feel stuck. But that’s part of what makes it real and worthwhile.”
