We cycled nearly 5,000 km

MeKo joined this year’s STADTRADELN (CITY CYCLING) in Sarstedt with strong commitment and even stronger legs. As a team, we cycled a total of 4,749.4 kilometers—earning 6th place out of 40 active teams.

Had we covered that distance by gasoline car, it would have generated around 779 kg (1,717 lbs) of CO₂ emissions. Choosing bicycles instead sent a clear message in favor of climate protection and community engagement.

Across the entire municipality, over 500 participants covered more than 100,000 kilometers, avoiding 16 tonnes (17.6 US tons) of CO₂. A powerful example of what’s possible through collective action.
