Future Day 2026 | MeKo Hands-On
Yesterday, 18 students joined us for a peek behind the scenes and got a first sense of what working in laser manufacturing can look like in practice.
The day started with an open Q&A session with our CEO Jakob Dohse. From there, it moved into four hands-on stations: laser processing, mechanical manufacturing, material research, and shape setting.
At each station, they could try things themselves. From simulating a stent procedure to creating small takeaways, the focus was on understanding how ideas turn into real components and complete assemblies, ready for use.
And in between, there was time to step back and connect. Fresh crêpes made sure no one had to think on an empty stomach.
What stood out most were the questions, the curiosity, and the openness to engage with technical topics. Who knows, maybe some of them will return in a few years, for an internship or something more.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our team for making the day what it was.
