In our laser processing teams, people combine deep technical expertise with a passion for medical innovation. One of them is Patrick Helios, who thrives on tackling what seems impossible and loves the chance to bring new ideas to life:

“I love the combination of engineering and medicine and the chance to be involved in the development of new medical products. My day revolves around planning production flows and reacting to unforeseen events. I develop production processes, prepare complex orders, and align and adjust optics on lasers.

Each colleague has to maintain a very high level of expertise because almost every order is special. The parts and materials are so small that handling them properly is often the biggest challenge. What motivates me is the high technical demand and the strong R & D component in ultrashort pulse laser processing."
